WLTM is a new project from PenPals.
We are starting a new print community newsletter for and by LGBTQ+ and/or Neurodivergent folk in Fife. We’re open to all sorts of content, but we are imagining including: info about upcoming events, recommendations, personal ads, longer features, comics, crosswords, puzzles, horoscopes, regular columns eg. an advice column.
The first editorial meeting will be Thurs 9th July, 6pm – 7.30pm on Zoom. If you’d like to come along, please email Lea at hello@penpals.site.
At our first editorial meeting, we’ll think in more detail about what the newsletter will include and put together a call out for content. You’ll have the opportunity to share any ideas for regular columns or longer features. We’ll make a plan for compiling the newsletter digitally.
If you aren’t able to attend the editorial meeting but would still like to be involved, please just get in touch with Lea at hello@penpals.site
After the deadline for submissions (tbc), you can also join us at The Coop in Kirkcaldy to Risoprint and prepare the newsletter for distribution. Once the first issue is out, we’ll schedule the next editorial meeting. We are planning to produce an issue every 6 weeks, but this might change as we get into the swing of things, or if capacity changes!
