  • Zines in the Woods: A day out in Falkland for LGBTQIA+ and/or neurodiverse folk

Let’s muck around in the woods! This nature walk and zine-making workshop is a day in the beautiful Falkland estate LGBTQIA+ and/or neurodiverse folk, organised by PenPals and Forgan Arts Centre. In the morning, we’ll go for a relaxed walk in the trees, at a slow place with plenty of time to stop and look, and in the afternoon we’ll get together with arts and crafts supplies to make our own little publications.

Transport subsidies or lifts transport to Falkland Palace will be available.

The event is free, but places are limited. If you book and are not able to come, we’d be really grateful if you could let us know in advance, so that we’re able to offer your place to someone else.

The walk is approximately three miles, on well-made paths, with some gentle slopes. There will be opportunities to return to the start earlier for a shorter walk.

This event is part of Queering the Clachan, a zine project for LGBTQIA+ folk and friends across Northeast Fife.

  • Zines and Stones workshop

UPDATE: Unfortunately this event has been postponed. Check back for a new date soon.

PenPals and Forgan Arts Centre are teaming up again for another creative day-trip for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent folk. This time, we’re planning to visit the standing stones of Lundin – three huge, ancient megaliths on the Fife coast – before spending the afternoon in a creative workshop on our connections to queer history. There’ll be a chance too for a wee visit to the coast.

The workshop is free, but places are limited, so booking is essential. We’ll provide support for travel too. You can book a spot in our cars leaving Kirkcaldy at 11am and returning at 3pm, or you can meet us at our venue, the Paxton Centre, and we’ll refund travel costs within Fife.
